First Rate Professional is the cornerstone for most
First Rate Performance® solutions, serving as the transaction-based
rate of return engine that populates and scrubs the First Rate
Performance data tables.
Using a client-specific,
custom-designed data interface, First Rate Professional interprets,
tracks and processes complete portfolio data. The application
generates periodic rates of return, runs audits to verify accuracy of
data and transactions, and populates data tables that are used by
other First Rate Performance applications or in-house reporting tools
(see Linking Third Party Performance Tools to Existing, In-House Solutions
case study).

The sophisticated user
interface redefines efficiency in maintaining performance data with
intuitive tools that access and edit security- and transaction-level
information serving as the source for the rates of return. Twelve
audit and ten edit tools are available to aid performance
professionals in their data-scrubbing efforts. First Rate Professional
is also the control center for most of the functions related to
sorting portfolio-specific rates of return, analyses and reporting
settings. With First Rate Professional, performance professionals can
create and maintain composites,
batch printing configuration and enhanced attribution analysis for all
First Rate Performance portfolios.
First Rate Professional helps to redefine the role of the
performance professional, by empowering them with truly efficient
tools to easily scrub and maintain high volumes of portfolios and
ultimately freeing them to provide more complete performance analysis
for their investment firm (see
