founded First Rate in 1991 with a vision of supporting rate of
return calculation software that seamlessly integrated with any
investment accounting system and simplified delivery and
understanding of investment performance analysis.
In 1993, First Rate introduced one of the first PC-based rate of
return calculation engines, called First Rate BackOffice. Several
large domestic custody banks immediately adopted this application,
and the First Rate Performance® suite was born. First Rate
continued to add to its suite of performance software, and in 1997
the firm set another standard in the performance measurement
industry by unveiling the first commercially available, Web-based
performance reporting software, called First Rate SnapShot. In
2004, First Rate upgraded First Rate SnapShot with a new version
that dramatically increases the Web-based functionality of this
application and addresses the specific needs of the investment
advisor audience. First Rate Advisor is cutting-edge technology
that allows users to easily access the source data for all rates
of return, gain confidence in their accuracy and then generate
customized, “boardroom quality” presentations in just a few mouse
clicks.
First Rate continues to redefine Performance by adding new
enhancements to the First Rate Performance suite and creating
solutions that will change your perception of rate of return
calculations forever.
