Terry Gaines, Managing Director,
Products
Terry Gaines joined First Rate in 2000 to help streamline
product development and facilitate a more expansive scope of
products. Gaines is responsible for overseeing the
development and deployment of First Rate's software
applications.
Gaines works closely with customers and other experts in the
industry to determine product focus and direction. He also
manages the programming staff and is responsible for all
programming resources at First Rate. Gaines is
instrumental in the launching of enhancements and upgrades to
all First Rate Performance® applications. |

In addition to his role at First Rate, Gaines
currently serves as Chairman of the Board of the Arlington YMCA.
Before coming to First Rate, Gaines was the chief financial
officer of Vectrix, a privately held Internet service company in
Dallas, where he dealt extensively with venture capitalists and
other financing organizations. Gaines has also served as
the chief financial officer of INSpire Insurance Solutions,
playing a key role in their initial public offering, secondary
offering and numerous acquisitions.
For four years, Gaines was the vice
president-controller in the fixed income department for RBC
Dain, a large regional investment banking consultant firm.
Gaines started his career as an audit manager at Deloitte &
Touche. Gaines graduated from Texas Tech University with a
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration), majoring in
Accounting. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
