Kate Baird, Director, Service
Bureau
Kathleen Baird, Director in the Service Bureau
group, has been with First Rate since 1994. Baird is responsible
for client implementations and developing training programs that
help clients better utilize the First Rate Performance®
applications. In 2006, Baird passed the CIPM Principals exam.
Prior to her arrival at First Rate, Baird was a business analyst
at the SEI Corporation, handling support for their employee
benefit record-keeping system, and designing report writer tools,
data mapping tools and batch scheduling tools. She has worked in
client support, documentation, training and client
implementations, serving as a project manager in the consulting
area for six years.

Baird started her career in the performance measurement industry
in 1986 working as manager of client service for the investment
performance system department at SEI. In this role, she was
responsible for documentation of the employee benefit
record-keeping system, client support and client implementations
and production of performance results.
Baird graduated from Augustana College in South Dakota. She earned
her Bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis
on management. She also has minor degrees in computer science, art
and english. She has studied training program development and has
attended leadership-training classes at Dale Carnegie and
Franklin/Covey.
